EU-Pika: In 2012 the ISSBS will work on bringing EU topics closer to its citizen, 13. january 2012

We are starting an interesting, multicultural and European year! The international School for Social and Business Studies has been allocated an EU grant for implementation of a project aimed at bringing EU topics closer to the general public, students and pupils.

The one-year project EU-Pika (Policies, Institutions, Cooperation, Actions) will consist of eight events organised by the ISSBS in order to inform and activate EU citizens, in particular the youth, on the European union, its institutions, functioning, policies and opportunities that it offers. Events will be organised for general public  in form of round table discussions, secondary school students in form of a three-day »EU-kamp« as well as for pupils in form of one-day workshops. In the framework of the project a number of international experts in EU integration topics as well as practitioners in the field will cooperate. In this respect three Slovenian Members of the European Parliament (Romana Jordan Cizelj, Tanja Fajon in Milan Zver) as well as a Bulgarian Member of the European Parliament (Mariya Nedelcheva) will be guest speakers.

More information can be accessed at the official website of EU-Pika (available next week).
