Welcome to the website of the International School for Social and Business Studies (ISSBS). The ISSBS is a young but perspective faculty which offers contemporary and internationally comparable study programmes, interesting for students as well as its wider social-economic environment. Despite its short existence the faculty has already achieved local, national and international recognition.

In the academic year 2009/2010 we are carrying out two first level study programmes, namely a university programme Economy in Modern Society and a professionally oriented higher education programme Business in Modern Society. On the second level students are offered a unique master's study programme Knowledge Management. The faculty has acquired concession for all three programmes, which enables full-time students to study free of charge. In addition to that, we have an accredited master's study programme Management and Quality in Education which is not being carried out in the academic year 2009/2010.

The ISSBS is aware of the importance of cooperation with its social-economic environment. Some examples of such cooperation include round tables on topical issues, research projects, participation of field experts in the process of education, etc. The faculty is also involved in international educational and research activities, demonstrated in numerous exchanges of students, teachers and other staff with foreign higher education institutions. Because we believe in learning as a never ending process we offer various possibilities of participation in lifelong learning programmes.

We will continue to strive for the quality of our process of education in the frames of which we are also preparing a doctoral study programme in the fields of economics and business studies. We will upgrade our research activities, also through more intensive participation of our students. In the frames of the Erasmus programme we will encourage more student exchanges and placements.

As a dean of this faculty I strive to equip our students with applicable knowledge and experience that will be useful for their careers. At the same time I wish for many inspiring ideas, motivated students with creative initiatives and a good working atmosphere for all of us.
