Students in Slovenia have a very well organised system of eating out with student coupons, which are subsidized by the state. This is the cheapest way of dining. Each student can buy as many coupons as there are working days in a month. By using coupons you get lunch in certain restaurants up to 50% cheaper than without them.

When you pay with a student coupon you are entitled to the main course, two other courses (a soup, a salad or a dessert) and 2 decilitres of water or a non-alcoholic drink. The exception are pizzas with which you have to get at least one other course which is not a dessert.

Student coupons can be bought at the Center mladinskih dejavnosti (Miklošičeva ulica 10, 3000 Celje) from Monday to Friday between 9.00 and 16.00, and at the Klub študentov občine Celje - KŠOC (Mariborska 2, 3000 Celje) on Wednesdays between 9.00 and 16.00. The official working hours are subject to change.
