International School for Social and Business Studies seeks candidates for young researchers in the area of:

• Higher Education Financing,
• Quality in Education with an emphasis on tertiary education,
• Management of Higher Education Institutions.

1. Expected education:

a) university education (prior to the Higher Education Act from 2004) - preferably economics, educational sciences, administrative sciences, other social sciences, computing, mathematics,

average grade of all exams and practical exercises (without thesis grade) at least 8,

meeting the requirements for 3^rd cycle study.
b) 2^nd cycle education from the areas stated in paragraph a) and average grade of all exams and practical exercises (without thesis grade) at least 8, or
c) Master's degree from a completed study course prior to the Higher Education Act from 2004in the areas stated in paragraph a), or
d) according to the first, second and third point of this paragraph, a comparable degree obtained at foreign universities in the areas referred to in paragraph a), or
e) already enrolled in a 3^rd cycle study course or a doctoral study programme prior to the Higher Education Act from 2004 in one of the areas under a).

2. Additional conditions:

• Candidate's age does not exceed 28 years for applicants under 1a and 1b (the year of birth 1982 is relevant); candidates under 1c may be born at the latest in 1980; if the applicant for a young researcher is without financial support from the Slovenian Research Agency and the Ministry of Higher Education , Science and Technology and is already enrolled in post-graduate studies, the age limit is raised over 28 years so that one year is added to the age limit for each enrolled year of study (candidates 1e),
• good understanding, speaking and writing of English language,
• proficient in working with word processors and spreadsheets,
• analytical approach, research experience and/or research interest,
• willingness for team work and study,
• young researchers who have already been funded from the programme for young researchers, but the contract was prematurely canceled or suspended for a training program did not meet the contractual period, they cannot stand the call.

3. We offer:

• full-time employment at the ISSBS from October 1, 2010 for a period of three years and six months if the candidate is enrolled in the first year of 3^rd cycle study programme from October 1, 2010 (number of months of employment is lower in the case of entry in a higher year of study or in the case of  entry in the old doctoral programs),
• participation in School's activities related to development, research and teaching,
• cooperation with a mentor in teaching activities,
• the possibility of active co-creation of projects, the implementation of research and development work.
