Dr. Špelca Mežnar, Assistant Professor

Špelca Mežnar (1976) graduated (1999), and received a Master's degree (2002) and a PhD (2005) from the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. She is an assistant professor of civil and commercial law. She completed specialist studies of European law at the University of Cambridge (2000), and studied international and American copyright law at the Franklin Pierce Law Center in the USA (2001).

  
In 2003 she passed the state bar exam and in 2005 received the "Young Lawyer of the Year" award. In her work she focuses on intellectual property law, contract law and compensation law. She has published a monograph and regularly publishes professional and scientific papers at home and abroad. She speaks English, German and Croatian, and has a passive knowledge of Italian.
