Dr. Andrej Rahten, Associate Professor

Andrej Rahten is an associate professor of modern and contemporary history and since 2004 also of international relations. His main research interests are Slovenian and international political history and the development of the European idea. Since 2002, he has been a member of the international editorial board of Časopis za suvremenu povijest in Zagreb, and since 2004, of the Croatian interdisciplinary scientific journal Pilar. He is one of the initiators and editor-in-chief of the series Studia diplomatica Slovenica. Since 2009, he has been the president of the Coordination Committee for the Research of Diplomatic History, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which joins representatives of the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Centre for European Perspective and Forum of Slavic Cultures. So far, he has published 7 monographs.
