Dr. Boris Snoj, Professor
Boris Snoj is a coordinator of marketing courses in the frames of undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Maribor, and the International School for Social and Business Studies in Celje. He has lectured in various marketing courses at faculties in the USA (School of Management, Amherst, University of Massachusetts), England (Aston Business School, Aston University, Birmingham), Austria (Vienna University of Economics and Business, Vienna), Italy (University of Messina, Faculty of Political Science, Messina), Croatia (Faculty of Economics and Business, Zagreb), Bosnia and Herzegovina (School of Economics and Business, Sarajevo), Serbia (Fakultet za uslužni biznis, Novi Sad) and Slovenia (Faculty of Management Koper, Faculty of Economics, Ljubljana, and all technical faculties of the University of Maribor).
His research focuses on the areas of services marketing, new products development, brand management, internal marketing, perceived value, perceived quality, market orientation, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and the link between marketing resources and company performance. In these fields, he also publishes contributions at national and international scientific and professional gatherings, and papers in scientific publications. He is an author or co-author of 22 published textbooks and books, including four abroad, and about 60 papers. Some of his papers have been published in foreign scientific journals such as Revue de Tourisme - IAEST, Journal of East-West Business, Der Markt, Systems Research, Acta turistica, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Market Focused Management and Annals of Telecommunications.
As an author or co-author he has presented over 80 papers at scientific and professional conferences. He was also project coordinator responsible for Slovenia of two international research projects in the field of marketing, one of which was funded by the EU (ACE programme). He was also coordinator of two basic and several target research projects in the field of marketing, funded by the Republic of Slovenia (former Ministry of Education, Science and Sport). He has mentored four young researchers, five assistants and a few tens of students writing their Master's theses. He was a mentor of a doctoral student who has already obtained her PhD. Currently he is a mentor of two doctoral students and a co-mentor of two doctoral students.
